Eversheds Sutherland advised Cherkizovo Group on its big acquisition of Cargill’s chicken processing facility in Tula region

We served as a legal advisor to Cherkizovo Group, providing full legal support in connection with its acquisition of Compas Foods LLC, a chicken processing facility in Tula region, Russia and a subsidiary of Cargill Inc. Cherkizovo Group (MOEX: GCHE) is the largest vertically integrated meat producer in Russia. This acquisition will help to expand Cherkizovo’s presence among clients in the foodservice sector.
Our role included conducting a full scope legal due diligence of the target company, drafting pre-contractual and contractual documentation, and providing legal support during all stages of extensive negotiations. The team was led by Managing Partner Victoria Goldman and Partner Mikhail Timonov, supported by Counsel Anton Bakov and Senior Associate Leyla Ibragimova.
