Eversheds comment: Budget 2016 - much may be hidden in detail on taxation changes
- United Kingdom
16-03-2016
Commenting on taxation measures announced in today's Budget, Ben Jones partner and tax expert at Eversheds, says:
“The Chancellor has announced an unexpectedly busy Budget from a tax perspective, with a range of measures that had not been trailed, including the reduction of corporation tax to 17%, the reduction of CGT rates and the increase in SDLT rates on commercial property. There are more headline tax reductions for UK businesses than expected, but much may be hidden in the detailed Budget changes given the stated target of raising £12bn from avoidance measures by 2020.”
