Chris Humphrey
Associate
Practice notes
Chris is an experienced personal injury litigator in the Corporate Claims team. Chris is a graduate member of the Institute of Legal Executives and he has ten years' experience, having worked for both claimant and defendant clients.
Chris has dealt with a number of claims including noise induced hearing loss, hand/arm vibration syndrome, stress, manual handling, defective work equipment, slips, trips and falls and injuries caused by defective products.
Chris' experience includes:
- Acting for a well-known industrial production client who entered liquidation in 2009. Chris advised the client's directors and health and safety team, thus, the client was able to successfully deny liability on the claims being brought forward.
- Advising a quasi-Governmental organisation on their EL claims.
- Working as part of the solicitor team seconded to the Independent Jersey Care Inquiry in to child abuse on the island.
- Acting as a co-ordinator for a power tool manufacturer who ceased operations in the UK in 2002 and received a high number of noise induced hearing loss claims.
Chris has provided educational training for a global manufacturer of specialist products in order to reduce manual handling claims that would have otherwise increased due to a national trend. Chris was successful in doing so and as a result, the global manufacturer saw a decline in the number of manualhandling claims and an increase in direct cost saving.
