Omar is a Senior Consultant in Eversheds' Iraq team, based in Basra.

Omar has a wealth of experience in Iraqi administrative and regulatory laws having worked as in-house counsel for more than four years with the Basra Governorate Council, Basra Investment Commission, and the Council of Ministers Secretariat.

Prior to joining Eversheds, Omar managed his own private legal practice in Basra. He obtained his degree in Law and Politics from the University of Basra/College of Law and Politics. Omar is qualified from the Iraqi Bar association and is fluent in both Arabic and English.
