Matt is a Principal Associate in our Corporate group.
He advises major UK and international corporates, entrepreneurs, business owners and owner-managers, private equity investors and advisors.
He has experience of a wide range of corporate transactions, including public and private acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures, reorganisations and private and public equity and debt raising.
Matt’s recent experience includes:
- Advising the founder of Sygnature Discovery on the MBO backed by Phoenix Equity Partners
- Advising Livingbridge on the acquisition by MBO of D3 Technologies (Disguise).
- Advising Phoenix Equity Partners on the acquisition by way of secondary MBO of Forest Holidays
- Advising H2 on the disposal of Hancocks cash and carry
- Advising LDC on the acquisition of the Addo Food Group (Pork Farms).
- Advising Rockfire Capital on the financing of the acquisition of a 230MW solar generation asset portfolio from Magnetar.
- Advising RFE GEN CO Ltd on its acquisitions of a UK and Northern-Ireland 105MW solar generation asset portfolio from Wirsol GMBH.
- Advising RFE GEN CO Ltd on its acquisition of Swindon Solar Farm.
- Advising Paragon Leisure Group Limited on the acquisition of Notts County Football Club and Notts County Ladies Football Club.
- Advising Jardine Motors on the acquisitions and disposals of a number of motor retail businesses.
- Advising LDC on the £40m investment in TXM Plant.
- Advising the shareholders of Union Square Software on the disposal of their entire shareholding to Deltek Inc.
- Advising numerous owner-managers on the disposals of their businesses with values ranging from £5 million to £80 million.
Matt has a law degree from Sheffield University and qualified in September 2003.
