Practice notes

Daniel is a senior Associate in our Financial Services Dispute and Investigations group.

Daniel specialises in financial services litigation and has advised on a range of matters including professional negligence claims against valuers and solicitors on behalf of major banks and building societies, defending professional negligence claims on behalf of SIPP pension providers, debt recovery claims, including both secured and unsecured debt, and in enforcing personal guarantees on behalf of retail banks.

More recently, Daniel has been assisting with the management of a portfolio of section 75 claims for a lender with a multi-million pound potential exposure. Daniel also directly handles and reviews claims in respect of a smaller portfolio of section 75 claims for the same lender.

Daniel's other experience includes regulatory investigations into the mis-selling of retail investment products, including complex investment products and financial derivatives.

Daniel was seconded internally to the Leeds office for 9 months where he worked on a large scale FCA mandated past business review of a major bank's sales of interest rate hedging products.
