Practice notes

Ismo specialises in demanding civil and criminal litigation and related investigations. Among other things, he has advised in matters related to industrial espionage and other issues related to proprietary information, international oil trade, dual-use products, protection of databases, patent issues, copyright, software development, international military weapons trade, money laundering, bribery, securities markets crimes, tax fraud and investment fraud.

In addition to comprehensive practical experience, Ismo has extensive theoretical expertise. He has published several academic works discussing, among other topics, protection of know-how and proprietary information, peer-to-peer networks and collateral arrangements executed through intellectual property rights. As for positions of trust, Ismo has been appointend as a designated expert by the Finnish Bar Association for amendments of the Constitution and preparation of Military and Foreign Intelligence Acts. In addition to his legal studies, Ismo has completed studies in computer science at the University of Helsinki.
